Unveiling of the World's First CVVD Engine Technology with Improved Performance and Less Emissions

 
Hyundai Motor Group has developed the world’s first Continuously Variable Valve Duration (CVVD) technology to feature in future Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The innovation was revealed at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang on Wednesday alongside the Smartstream G1.6 T-GDi the first engine to feature the technology. CVVD optimizes both engine performance and fuel efficiency while also being eco-friendly. The valve control technology regulates the duration of valve opening and closing according to driving conditions, achieving a 4% boost in performance and a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency. Furthermore, the technology cuts emissions by 12%.

Genesis G70 and Hyundai Kona win NACTOY awards

 

Korea's Hyundai dominated the car and SUV NACTOY awards for 2019.

The prestigious North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year awards kicked off the Detroit Auto Show at Cobo Hall. Genesis, Hyundai's young luxury arm, won for car with its compact G70 sedan. Then the parent brand followed with SUV of the Year for the Hyundai Kona.

Newhall Community Center's Thanksgiving Community Dinner Sponsor

Parkway Motorcars has been a humble sponsor of the Newhall Community Center's Thanksgiving Dinner for years in the past, and have continued to through the 2018 holiday season.

This year the dinner took place on Monday, November 19th. They had 546 participants enjoy the event with their families and friends. This was an 18% increase compared to 2017. 

We are thankful and proud of our entire Parkway staff who helped with the event.
